BEGINNER CLINICS





Red Ball (Ages 5-7)



[Skills/Information Teaching]



Focus will be on the following:


• hand/eye coordination skills

• movement skills

• introduction to forehand/backhand

• introduction to volley/serve/overhead



Orange Ball (Ages 8-10)



Skills/Information Teaching



Focus will be on the following:


• movement skills

• introduction to forehand/backhand, volley/overhead/serve

• introduction to partner rally

• rally games

• scoring



Yellow Ball (Ages 11+)



Skills/Information Teaching



Focus will be on the following:


• introduction to forehand/backhand, volley/overhead

• serve introduction to partner rally

• rally games

• scoring



INTERMEDIATE CLINICS





Orange Intermediate (Ages 8-10)

Clinics will focus on teaching and acquiring/improving technical skills:

  • skill building of forehand/backhand/volley/overhead/serve emphasis:
  • rally skills
  • ball directionals
  • controlled partner hitting consistent rallies
  • rally point games
  • team rally games


Yellow Intermediate (Ages 11+)



[Skills Aquisition]



Clinics will focus on preparation for possible interest in Middle School or HS play:

  • continued skill building of all strokes and serve
  • first and second serve and placement zones
  • continued emphasis on rally, control and consistency
  • introduction to point development, ball directionals, and recovery zone


INTERMEDIATE COMPETITIVE PLAYERS





Middle & High School Clinics (Tournament Prep Group)

Requirements:

  1. Evaluation by Coach Keith (901-907-9363
  2. Players interested in taking tennis to another level
  3. Couple days/week training
  4. Play Middle/High School tennis teams or interest in beginner USTA/junior tournaments

Clinics will include training for competitive play:

  • Consistent stroke production
  • Consistently rally
  • Improve technical skills
  • Point play
  • Less technical teaching – technical skills evident from experience


ADVANCED PLAYERS - HIGH PERFORMANCE





High Performance

Requirements:

  1. aspiring to play advanced Jr USTA tournaments/collegiate level.
  2. Requires 2 days/week training required
  3. Focus on stroke production
